About security certificates
A security certificate is an electronic document used to secure connections with web sites with the help of the HTTPS protocol, which provides for privacy and integrity of information sent over the Internet. The certificates allow the client to ensure that the server the client connects to is the correct one. Detailed information about security certificates is provided by PolyAnalyst is given here.
Certificates are necessary when using HTTPS. If the certificate is missing, invalid or untrusted, authorization may be denied.
For example, the Insomnia application can only approve "trusted" certificates. The certificates that PolyAnalyst automatically generates are not trusted as a rule. The reason is that certificates are bound to a specific URL that is not known in advance. To use an untrusted certificate in Insomnia, uncheck the Validate certificates during authentication option (or Validate certificates) in the application settings.
