Deleting nodes

There are several ways to delete one or more node:

  • Right-click on the node on the flowchart and select Delete.

  • Alternatively, left-click on a node to select it and then press the Delete key.

  • Alternatively, locate the node in the project tree and then right-click on the node and select Delete.

If multiple nodes are selected on the flowchart, all nodes in the selection are deleted.

Deleting a node may permanently delete its results. Undoing it will only restore the node’s configuration, regardless of whether the project is closed without saving changes to the project. Generally, some nodes might be storing hundreds of millions of records. If you delete one of these nodes, PolyAnalyst concludes that the records should be deleted. In other cases, you may be able to use the Undo option by right-clicking on the flowchart after deleting a node and restore the node to its prior status (including the results it previously generated).
Similar to deleting a connection between nodes, deleting a node which is connected to other nodes will cause the downstream nodes to also delete their results and possibly also lose certain properties.
